MACA Membership

Any person or entity residing in the states of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, or the District of Columbia who is substantially engaged in the credit industry or collection industry and who subscribes to and agrees to be governed by the Code of Ethics of the ACA International is eligible for active membership in this Association upon satisfaction of the following requirements:


*Full compliance with all membership requirements of ACA International;


*Full compliance with Federal, State, County and Municipal statutes and ordinances for regulation of those engaged in the collection business and residing in the states of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, or the District of Columbia, including but not limited to licensing and bonding, if required.


*Submission of the names and contact information of three clients of the Applicant so that the Membership Committee can obtain reference information on the applicant..


Each application for membership will be approved by the Association's Membership Committee. All requirements must be met by each applicant.

* Convenient/affordable/specific-to-issues educational seminars led by trained, experienced collection industry professionals. The Mid-Atlantic Unit hosts numerous sessions per year, including seminars required for collectors certification.

* MACA has a growing, up-to-date web site which will be host to news and links affecting your industry..

* Complimentary listing of your firm on our web site and linked to the top search engines.

* Northeast Debt Collection Expo & Conference-the annual, multi-state convention held in conjunction with the New York and New Jersey Units of ACA, and attended by your peers from bordering states. This one is jam-packed with industry speakers, vendors and education!

* Collection Connection, MACA's bimonthly newsletter packed with need-to-know information about the collection field and member news including profiles on current members and reliable, timely information and support on industry compliance and legal issues.

* Opportunity to advertise in the Collection Connection publication at a discounted rate.

* Networking opportunities to build business relationships and establish a personal network of people with whom you can discuss business trends, ideas, problems and concerns.

* Members Attorney Program (MAP) providing access to ACA MAP attorney members familiar with your industry's laws and regulations.
